The railway line connecting Tbilisi with Kutaisi airport will start operating in March 2018, Commersant was told at the Georgian Railway.
It will be possible to get on the railway to the airport not only from the capital, but also from all regions where there is a passenger railway traffic.
“It will be a through station, and all trains that travel from Tbilisi to Western Georgia will stop there. The same applies to the trains that run from the regions to Tbilisi, " say in the Georgian Railway.
The new railway line project will cost GEL 10 million.
The construction began on April 3, 2017. During the presentation ceremony of the project, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said that the new railway track will be used no later than in the spring of 2018.
The train will stop next to the airport terminal.
