The United States ranked second among importing countries by trade volume in January- July 2025, with only Turkey in first place. Within this seven-month period, Georgia imported $1.55 billion worth of products from the US.
According to the National Statistics Office, passenger cars account for the largest share of imports from the US. Specifically, the top five import commodities are:
• Passenger cars valued at $1.2 billion;
• Paintings, drawings, and handmade pastels totaling $167 million;
• Turboprop and gas turbine engines amounting to $30.7 million;
• Original sculptures and statues worth $30.6 million;
• Hazelnuts and other nuts totaling $19.6 million.
Which companies import the highest value products from the U.S.? Based on information from Sakstat and data from the public registry, here are the owners of the TOP-10 importing companies from the USA:
JSC «Lusol» was registered in the Register in 2025. The chairman of the company’s supervisory board is Nugzar Dekanoidze, with board members Vepkhvia Dvali and Shota Kobiashvili. Gela Koberidze serves as the company’s director. The report for the joint stock company has not yet been submitted to Reportal, leaving the identities of the shareholders unknown.
«Airzena» was registered in the public registry in 2007. The general director of the company is Nana Godziashvili, while the owner of «Airzena» is businessman Tamaz Gaiashvili.
The company "Bi Tu Bi" was registered in 2017. According to the records, 100% of the company’s shares are owned by Nino Gvelesiani, with Giorgi Shalamberidze serving as the director.
The owner of "Global Auto Import," established in 2020, is Mikhail Zgudadze, who also serves as director.
