Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia will participate in the World Urban Summit, hosted in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku in partnership with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.

According to the Government Administration, the Head of Government of Georgia will deliver a speech at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum. A meeting between Irakli Kobakhidze and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, is also scheduled today.

Within the framework of the summit, world leaders will discuss ways to address the global housing crisis caused by climate change and conflicts, which is one of the key prerequisites for sustainable and inclusive urban development.

Representatives from over 180 countries are participating in the summit, including leaders of various states, representatives of major businesses, urban planners and real estate developers.

The Prime Minister of Georgia traveled to Baku together with a delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Internal Affairs Sulkhan Tamazashvili and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
