“Adjara Textile” added around 800–900 new employees in 2025, bringing its total workforce to nearly 5,000, according to director Gia Lominadze. Despite the growth, the company is still hiring, particularly sewing operators and cutting-department staff, as it continues to expand production.
Lominadze said the shortage of skilled workers persists, pushing labor costs up and prompting the company to shift toward sewing more complex, higher-value models. Simpler items will soon be produced at the company’s new factory in Egypt, expected to open in a few months.
Only 2–3% of the workforce are foreign employees. Due to new regulations that took effect on March 1, Adjara Textile is avoiding hiring additional foreign workers but is registering those already employed to comply with the legal requirements for work and residency permits.
In 2024, the company paid GEL 58.6 million in salaries. Adjara Textile produces clothing for brands such as Nike, Puma, Adidas, New Balance, and Under Armour. Its revenue reached GEL 258.3 million in 2024, and the company operates factories in Rustavi, Poti, Batumi, and Kobuleti.
