The number of candidates to lose
property is rapidly growing in Georgia in recent months.
In just one month, the number of
insolvencies has increased by 4,8 thousand. If, on 20 January 2018, the
National Bureau of Enforcement had 234 958 records in the Debt Register, now
their number increased to 239 831. It turns out that 6,4% of Georgian population is insolvent
today, which is quite alarming. (According to the Statistical Office, 3,718,2
million people live in Georgia today).
Debtors' Registry was launched in January 2010. Its database includes those individuals and legal entities, also
organizations towards which the enforcement administration has been exercised
since 1 January 2010.
