85,604 People Received a Residence Permit in Georgia in 2013-2017

From 2013 to 2017, 85 604 foreigners received a residence permit in Georgia, including 26 111 – received  the right for permanent residence, 59 490 - for temporary residence.

During the reporting period, 23,011 foreigners were granted Georgian citizenship. Thus, the number of foreigners who got the opportunity of legal residence in Georgia totaled  198,615 people.

In 2017, the right to temporary residence was given to 13,336 people, for  permanent residence- to 2,820. In the same year 3,097 people were granted Georgian citizenship.

The National Statistics Service does not specify people  of which countries have received a temporary or permanent right to reside in Georgia, as well as the country’s citizenship.
