As of now, 53,587 teachers are employed in general education institutions.
In terms of teacher status, data requested from the National Center for Professional Development of Teachers shows that schools have 43,401 senior teachers, 9,296 lead teachers, and 890 mentor teachers.
Based on the same data, 48,188 teachers are in public schools and 5,399 are in private schools, out of the total.
