Grain imports in Georgia have reached an 11-year high. According to the National Statistics Office, in January-November 2025, the country imported grains worth $142.5 million, which is a record high since 2014. More specifically, in 2014, the country imported $150.2 million worth of grain.
Remarkably, Russia held the largest share of grain imports into Georgia for the first 11 months of the current year, accounting for 72%. Kazakhstan followed with 17%.

Russia - worth 102.6 million USD;
• Kazakhstan - worth 23.8 million USD;
• India - worth 6.7 million USD;
• Turkey - worth 3.4 million USD;
• Pakistan - worth 1.9 million USD.
In the 2025 reporting period, wheat and meslin accounted for the highest share of imported grain, followed by corn and rice.
