In April 2024, Georgia’s inflation stood at 0.3 percent compared to last month, the annual inflation was set at 1.5 percent.

The National Statistics Office reports that prices in the food and non-alcoholic beverages group have increased for the following subgroups: fruits and grapes (37.9 percent), mineral and spring water, non-alcoholic beverages and natural juices (4.3 percent), coffee, tea and cocoa (3.9 percent), meat and meat products. Products (2.6 percent), other food products (2.4 percent) and fish (0.8 percent).

Of the consumer products, the garlic price increased the most.


In April 2024, the following good prices hiked the most compared to last year:

• Garlic - 110.4%;

• Apple -69%;

• Peach - 68%;

•Plum - 58.7%;

• Grapes - 39.7%;

• Pear - 33.8%;

• Gasoline - 29.7%;

• Kiwi - 27.1%;

• Greens - 25.8%;

• Beet — 18.7%.
