The volume of deposits of non-resident individuals in Georgian banks amounts to GEL 7.85 billion.

According to the central bank’s annual report, Russian citizens account for 38% of non-resident deposits, or GEL 3 billion, followed by Israeli citizens with GEL 628 million or only 8%. Citizens of Ukraine are in the third place with GEL 550 million, citizens of Cyprus are in the fourth place with GEL 400 million, and Great Britain is on the bottom of the rating with GEL 390 million.

Individuals keep a total of GEL 27.6 billion in Georgian banks, including deposits of non-residents with a 28.4% share.


Note: in May 2023, the National Bank of Georgia increased the liquidity for deposits of Russian citizens from 40% to 80%.
