The Unit Value Index of Agricultural Products increased by 14.0 percent compared to the
previous quarter. The change was mainly due to a 22.6 percent increase in the unit value of live
animals and animal products, which contributed 12.82 percentage points to the total index change.
Compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, the Unit Value Index of
Agricultural Products increased by 21.6 percent. The latter was largely caused by the 28.6 percent
increase in the unit value of live animals and animal products, which contributed 16.5 percentage
points to the total index change. In the same period, the unit value of non-perennial crops went
up by 16.4 percent and by 8.3 percent for perennial crops, with the relevant contribution of 3.23
and 1.87 percentage points to the total index change, respectively.
