With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia, nine Georgian qvevri wine producers participated in the Slow Wine Fair, held in Bologna, Italy. The participating companies were: Andria’s Wine, Velino, Chortauli Vineyards, Gotsa’s Wine, Winery Baaduri 1933, Kondoli Winery, Sherma’s Family Winery, Winery Niabi.
At the Slow Wine Fair, nearly 1,000 wine companies from around the world showcased their products, the majority of which were organic and biodynamic wines. Traditionally, the exhibition attracts up to 20,000 visitors, including representatives of the HoReCa sector, distributors, and importers. This is particularly important for the promotion of qvevri wine, the identification of new business partners, and consequently, the growth of Georgian wine exports.
The Slow Wine Fair was held for the fifth time this year, while Georgian wine cellars participated in the exhibition for the second time.
The event was attended by the Consul General of Georgia in Milan, Natalia Kordzaia.
One of the main areas of activity of the National Wine Agency of Georgia is to support the promotion and increase awareness of Georgian wine in international markets. In order to diversify export markets, the Agency carries out targeted advertising and marketing campaigns in the United States, as well as in European and Asian countries.
