The economic relations between Georgia and Armenia are deepening, based on the existing long-standing tradition. For Armenian tourists, Georgia was, is, and will remain the most beloved place for rest and visits,” stated the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, who is on a visit to Georgia, during a joint briefing with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

He spoke about the prospects for deepening economic cooperation between Georgia and Armenia and noted that the number of tourists visiting Armenia from Georgia is also increasing.

I have the honor to be at yet another meeting. This format is called the 15th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Georgia. Since it is the 15th, it means that, in our perception, these relations are developing. An important aspect of our agenda today is to achieve even better economic results. It is important to note that today we discussed the economic, bilateral, regional, and international agenda. We had discussions on various issues. We also saw where we have the greatest potential for developing cooperation.

I would like to thank the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, for supporting the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan throughout this time. I want to thank the Georgian people for the support we feel and see. Today, Armenia and Azerbaijan are building economic relations and connections with the help and facilitation of Georgia; this is truly praiseworthy news, and we thank you for this valuable contribution.

The economic relations between Georgia and Armenia are deepening, based on the existing long-standing tradition. For Armenian tourists, Georgia was, is, and will remain the most beloved place for rest and visits. The number of tourists visiting Armenia from Georgia is also increasing. We are pleased with this growing trend. These relations are important, which clearly shows that our active political friendship is reflected in people-to-people relations in the fields of culture, sports, and economy,” Pashinyan stated.
