The head of the National Tourism Administration, Maya Omiadze, summed up the first nine months of the current year. In her words, the initial forecast of $4.7 billion set by the Administration appears to be quite achievable. From January to September, international tourism revenues hit a new record high of $3.6 billion, totaling $3,637,761,827.

The National Tourism Administration traditionally provides forecasts on a quarterly and seasonal basis. These projections are grounded in historical data and global trends both for international travellers and tourist trips and incomes. The forecasts of the research companies and the estimates of the National Tourism Agency are almost identical, which means that the estimates are accurate and realistic. When evaluating the recovery after 2019, the projections for international travel and earnings fully match expectations. At this stage, it is reasonable to assert that by the end of 2025, when the fourth quarter of the year closes, the forecasts will be fully justified," the head of the National Tourism Office points out.

According to Maya Omiadze, thanks to the correct strategy of the National Tourism Administration and active campaigns in target markets, this year’s revenues are significantly higher than in 2019.
