In Georgia, Lukoil directly owns 24 gas stations, leases 26, and operates 10 under franchise agreements. Overall, the company holds a small share of the Georgian market, with a substantial portion controlled by other major players who own approximately 150 gas stations, Vakhtang Iobashvili, chairman of the Union of Oil Products Importers, says in an interview with the radio station Commersant.

According to him, the geography of fuel deliveries has changed due to Russia, Georgia doesn’t see any problems with logistics.

«In Georgia «Lukoil» has 24 gas stations, 26 of which are for rent, and 10 - per franchise. In other words, the company’s share in the Georgian market is small. We have larger companies that own 150 gas stations.

«Because of Russia, we actually changed the geography of deliveries. We have no problem with logistics, wherever it comes from - we have a railway, land borders, the sea. Therefore, I firmly say to all consumers that there will be no problems with fuel supply to Georgia. We have firms that will replace «Lukoil». There might be a small impact in terms of prices, because it takes time for the market to fill up, but Georgia will not face any other problems in terms of deficit in Georgia», Chairman of the Union of Oil Product Importers Vakhtang Iobashvili points out.

According to Vakhtang Iobashvili, «Lukoil» has networks all over the world, including in Europe, the company owns the largest network in America.

Not only «Lukoil» but also «Rosneft» is  sanctioned. «Lukoil» is represented everywhere, in many countries of the world. Including in many European countries, from Spain to Bulgaria. «Lukoil» also owns the largest network in Turkey as well as in Azerbaijan, which is an oil country. The main thing is that «Lukoil» owns the largest network in America. I believe that we must do the same as other countries, larger than us, if we do not comply with sanctions, we will not be full-fledged players in the global market”», Iobashvili states in an interview with «Commersant».
