The Ministry of Finance's state debt statistics for February 2026 show a total state debt of 9.4billion that is $843 million more compraed to last year.
New credit agreements signed by the government in the past year for major infrastructure projects led to the increase in debt.
The Asian Development Bank is Georgia's largest creditor, with a debt of $2.6 billion.The World Bank is the second largest,with $2.3 billion. Among countries, France (AFD) is the top creditor, to which Georgia owes $890 million.
