"Ukraine would have been finished in one day if we hadn't helped", said Trump.
Trump added that Washington was helping Kyiv and NATO even though Russia's attack on Ukraine was not a threat to the United States — and he accused the Alliance of ingratitude:
"You could say it wasn't a threat — you know, we're helping them. So we helped them, but they didn't help us."
