A year ago, it was unthinkable that we would thank our Azerbaijani counterpart. We always thanked the Georgian Prime Minister, we have no obstacles here, but the Armenian and Azerbaijani prime ministers thanking each other, it was unthinkable a year ago, now it is a reality. This is an indicator that this forum is very important, - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in his speech at the panel discussion at the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum.
According to him, peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and now it is possible to see the future from a new perspective.
“Peace has been established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and I would like to emphasize here that it is very important connectivity to transform into an institutional achievement, this decision should be made at the institutional level. Transport links lead to common shared benefits. We must say directly that this leads to common interdependence. It may sound bad politically, that we are dependent on each other, but when countries start cooperating openly and honestly in the field of transport, this will lead to economic growth. Countries realize that this common effort is in everyone's interests, everyone's focus should be on territorial integrity, stability, the ability of countries to make decisions for themselves in relation to each other. This is even more important in the South Caucasus, that when we interact with each other, we really talk to each other and agreements are made, declarations are signed on the basis of this trust. This established peace is a very good opportunity for us to analyze the past, more than 100 years, and look at what can be done differently in the future, look at the future through a different prism, look at history from a different perspective," Pashinyan said.
