Plans to export Chiatura-produced wine to the US have been delayed. David Chachanidze, the founder of the "Solomone" wine company, notes that the company remains active in the European market.

In his words, the company's products are currently sold in the Czech Republic, Germany, Latvia.

"We were set to export wine to the United States, but our plans have failed. On my part there were no delays, they put the question on hold. Presumably, in the US there is an excess of Georgian wine, and at this stage they refrain from buying it.

In previous years, export accounted for 60% of our sales but now the trend has changed, and 60% are sold on the local market, and 40% are sent for export», says David Chachanidze.

According to the company founder, «Solomone» wine is sold in about 40 locations throughout Georgia, including wine shops, restaurants and hotels. David Chakhanidze notes that demand in the local market is stable.

Note: «Solomone» produces a total of 5 brands of wine. As of 2023, the company produced 20 thousand bottles. The company’s vineyard is located in the Chiatura district of Lejubani. The vineyards cover an area of 3 hectares.
