According to Erekle Loladze, the co-founder of Mouth melters, demand for chocolate qvevri has soared by 30% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In his words, among their customers are both locals and foreign visitors who buy chocolate qvevri as gifts.
"We have already started negotiations on New Year's corporate orders. corporate orders account for about 70% of the total sales, the rest are sold online and in wine shops. Our factory, where we make chocolate qvevri from natural, Belgian raw materials, has the resources to produce1,500 qvevri per day. During the holiday period, we increase productivity", Mouth melters co-founder stresses.
Mouth melters will sell chocolate bars from December.
"There are 15 gram bars in a 20-piece package intended for a specific coffee category. For the New Year, we will add 2 types of chocolate bars of 180 grams that will be sold mainly in the HoReCa sector, online and in corporate segment. The investment cost of the project is 10,000 GEL", - says Erekle Loladze.
Apart from that, the company co-founder talks about price hikes for the products. Due to the uncertainty in global markets, the product price may rise by 20-30%.
For information, 6 types of chocolate qvevri are produced in the chocolate workshop enterprise located in the village of Misaktsieli. The startup created during the pandemic makes classic dark and milk chocolate with different fillings and sells it only in the local market.
