Oil exports via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, which runs from Azerbaijan through Georgia to Turkey, were down 2.9% year-on-year in January-November 2024 at 26.83 million metric tons, Azerbaijan's state statistics committee said on Wednesday.

The BTC pipeline is used to export oil from the Azeri, Chirag and Guneshli oilfields, which are operated by BP BP.L.

Azerbaijan's total oil transit in January-November 2024 amounted to 35.4 million tons, of which 75.9% flowed through the BTC.

The amount of transit oil sourced from other countries, such as Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, via the BTC rose to 4.890 million tons in January-November from 4.780 million tons in the same period of 2023, the data showed.
