After the elections, we see a very strengthened and accelerated movement on the path towards Russia - everything in Georgia is controlled by one party, - the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, stated this in her speech to the European Parliament.
According to her, the statement on the termination of negotiations with the European Union on November 28 was made without a real mandate and right.

Not only the violations of constitutional requirements that occurred during the elections, after the elections. Only I can convene the first session of the Parliament, but it was convened by the Chairman of the Parliament, who was not the Chairman at that time, he was not recognized by the Constitution. The Constitutional Court was not given time to consider the lawsuits that we filed. This is another unconstitutional decision that was made before the first session of the Parliament. [On November 28] the Prime Minister had no legitimacy, because the elections are very much in question, he did not have the mandate to make this statement. The Constitution clearly states that all institutions in Georgia must do everything to facilitate the Euro-Atlantic integration process. A large part of the aforementioned Constitution was drafted by the same Prime Minister who went against the Constitution and announced that he was suspending the negotiations. The negotiations were not going well, but we were expecting this. In fact, he stopped the movement towards the European future without a real mandate and without having the right to do so. Everything in Georgia is controlled by one party and one person. What is left outside this control? Opposition media - I want to emphasize that two out of three media outlets are in a rather serious financial crisis, which was also provoked. It is difficult to prove this. Also, non-governmental organizations are being threatened by the so-called “Russian law”. "How this will be implemented and enforced is important, and thirdly - the President - I am here after two impeachment attempts. After a week, I will no longer have personal guard. I do not think that guard provides security," Salome Zurabishvili said.
