Beer consumption in Georgia is increasing year by year. The market has grown by about 15% over the past three years. The highest growth in demand for the beverage was recorded in 2022. The Corporate Affairs Director of Efes Georgia attributes this to the influx of migrants into Georgia. Nikoloz Khundzakishvili believes that the market will maintain robust growth in 2025 to 2%.
"The beer market grew by about 1-1.5% last year compared to the previous year." Similar growth was seen in 2023. In 2022, we experienced extraordinary growth by about 11% that was caused by migration, afterwards in 2023 and 2024, the so-called natural growth was recorded. When the economy grows, the demand for these types of goods also increases. Over the past three years, beer consumption has grown by about 15% that is a very good indicator given the current economic situation, purchasing power and the situation in the country as a whole. In our view, demand is expected to increase by 1.5-2% in 2025. This is a normal process when economy grows," Nikoloz Khundzakishvili points out.
