The US has temporarily halted technology export restrictions to China to avoid disrupting trade negotiations with Beijing and to facilitate a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, foreign media quoted sources as saying.
Current and former officials from the US Department of Commerce said that the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the Commerce Department has been instructed in recent months to avoid taking tough measures against China, according to the report.
