The number of live births in Georgia equaled 19 431 in January-June 2023.
The number of deaths equaled 21 944 persons in the same period. In the first half of 2023, the natural increase (the difference between the number of live births and the number of deaths) totaled -2 513. The positive natural increase was registered in Tbilisi (340), Adjara A.R. (870) and Kvemo Kartli region (145).
In the first 6 months of 2023, the number of registered marriages equaled 10 366 and the number of divorces – 6 828.
