Today, the first session of the 8th convocation of the Tbilisi City Council will take place.
The first session of the newly elected Tbilisi City Council will be opened by Giorgi Kalandarishvili, Chairman of the Central Election Commission.
Today, during the session, the Chairman of the City Council, deputies, and chairmen of factions and commissions will be elected.
As a reminder, by order of the Central Election Commission, the first sessions of the councils elected in the October 4, 2025 elections are scheduled across the entire territory of Georgia on October 30 at 11:00 a.m.
In the Tbilisi City Council, the mandates are distributed as follows: "Georgian Dream" - 20 mandates; "Strong Georgia - Lelo" - 2; "Girchi" - 2; "Conservatives for Georgia" - 1 mandate.
