A tender has been announced for the design and construction of a new tram line.

According to the Transport and Urban Agency, the new 7.5 km tram line will connect Didi Digomi with the metro station "Didube" with 11 stops.

The line will start from the territory between III and IV districts of Didi Digomi, pass through David’s Avenue Agmashenebeli and Digomsky Massif and continue to the area adjacent to the metro station «Didube».

As part of the project, a tram depot will be constructed, equipped with the necessary infrastructure to service and operate the carriages. All essential engineering and communication networks for the seamless operation of the tram line will also be arranged.


The project execution period is set for 36 months from the date of contract signing with the winning company. The estimated cost is GEL 416,592,000. The deadline for submitting bids is December 22 of the current year, as per the information.
