In March the annual growth rate of the banks' loan portfolio increased and, excluding the influence of the exchange rate, stood at 13.8% compared to December. NBG reports that the growth rate of loans to individuals decreased slightly and amounted to 15.8%, the growth rate of loans to legal entities increased by 3.6% to 11.6%.

In the first quarter of 2023, Silk Bank issued the smallest amount of loans, followed by Ziraat Bank and VTB Bank.
