According to the chairman of the National Wine Agency, Levan Mekhuzla, the 2024 harvest wines will be special.

In his words, this year's harvest is of high quality. According to Levan Mukhuzla, technology used in Georgian wine making are at a very high level and are in no way inferior to any produced in a leading country.

"The vintage of 2024 was distinguished by many factors. One of them is that this year's vintage started unprecedentedly early.

Apart from that, it was outstanding both in quantity and quality. Never before has so much money been paid for grapes, which is also very nice, because all of it will go to the families of farmers..

The assistance that the state provides to this field is very diverse. As a result, in 2010- 2020, 18 ha vineyard was planted. Consequently, the crisis that existed at the end of the 20th century, when the Georgian vineyards were reducing, has been overcome. Now the area of vineyards has exceeded 48,000 ha. The diversity of our breeds is something we should take care of," Levan Mekhuzla stresses.
