Georgia has maintained a steady trend of economic growth for years. From 2021 to 2024, the country recorded one of the highest economic growth rates globally, averaging 9.8%. For the first ten months of 2025, the average economic growth rate is 7.6%, the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated during his speech at the signing ceremony of the 2026–2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Agreement between Georgia and the UN.
According to the Prime Minister, international financial institutions project that this high economic growth trend will continue in the coming years.
“It should be noted that Georgia has maintained a steady economic growth trend for years. From 2021 to 2024, Georgia recorded one of the highest economic growth rates in the world, averaging 9.8%. For the first ten months of 2025, the average economic growth rate is 7.6%. According to international financial institutions, the high economic growth trend will continue in the coming years. According to the International Monetary Fund, economic growth over the next five years is expected to average 5.1%. These trends contribute to Georgia achieving its sustainable development goals,” the Prime Minister stated.
