Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, will participate in the official opening of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum and, alongside the Prime Ministers of Georgia and Armenia, will engage in a high-level dialogue. The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia announced.
According to the ministry, the fifth edition of the forum will take place on October 22-23 and is expected to attract up to 2,000 delegates.
“The Tbilisi Silk Road Forum has firmly established itself as a prominent international platform for high-level dialogue between governments, fostering multilateral relations among states, international organisations, and businesses alike.
The event will be attended by senior political figures, representatives from the business sector and international organisations, Prime Ministers and Vice Prime Ministers from the region, as well as sectoral ministers, leaders of major global companies, international financial institutions, and experts.
For the first time, the forum will feature the Tbilisi Finance Summit on October 23. An unprecedented scale event, organised by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the National Bank of Georgia, in partnership with the Singapore-based Global Finance and Technology Network (GFTN), marks a significant addition to the forum’s programme.
Panel sessions will address key topics like international trade and current challenges, transport and logistics, the development of the Middle Corridor, energy, and digital transformation. A dedicated session will focus specifically on Georgia’s investment climate and opportunities.
“The Tbilisi Silk Road Forum was first launched in 2015, and since then, it has been held biennially,” the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia stated.
