According to officially declared data, 8 597 permissions were granted in January-September of 2025 (2.8 percent less compared to the same period of the previous year) for construction of buildings with total area of 8 483.4 thousand square meters (1.0 percent less compared to the same period of the previous year). More than 70 percent of all permits have been issued in four regions of the country, namely: 45.3 percent in Tbilisi, 10.8 percent in Kvemo Kartli region, 9.8 percent in Kakheti region and 6.7 percent in Adjara AR.
It should be noted that in January-September of 2025, permissions were issued for the construction of multifunctional residential complexes, trade facilities, hotels, industrial enterprises, objects for agricultural purposes, and other buildings.
2 452 objects (5.6 percent less compared to the same period of the previous year) with total area of 2 475.2 thousand square meters (6.7 percent more compared to the same period of the previous year) were completed in January-September of 2025.
More than two-thirds of the completed constructions are distributed among four regions of the country, namely: 34.8 percent are located in Tbilisi, 12.7 percent — in Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, 11.6 percent — in Kakheti region, and 9.1 percent — in Kvemo Kartli region.
