With the support of the National Wine Agency of Georgia and the American marketing company Colangelo & Partners, a large-scale Georgian wine tasting event, “Wines of Georgia Grand Tasting,” was held in Los Angeles, California, USA. The event hosted American wine industry professionals, media representatives, and consumers.

The program included a tasting session for more than 150 top sommeliers, retailers, and media representatives, as well as a Georgian wine masterclass for invited buyers and consumers.

At the large-scale Georgian wine tasting, around 120 bottles of various styles of Georgian wine from about 30 Georgian wine companies were presented, giving Georgian producers the opportunity to increase awareness of their products and find new trade partners in the U.S. wine market.

It is noteworthy that the United States is one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine, where the National Wine Agency has been carrying out targeted marketing activities since 2013. In recent years, alongside various marketing initiatives, the Agency has intensified promotional campaigns with influential media outlets such as CBS, CNN, The New York Times, and Wine Enthusiast, which has contributed to the growth of Georgian wine sales in the U.S. In 2024, exports reached a historic maximum of 1.2 million liters, exceeding the 2023 figure by 32%.

The National Wine Agency carries out Georgian wine marketing campaigns in the United States in cooperation with the leading American marketing company Colangelo & Partners. As part of the campaign, tasting seminars are organized in various U.S. cities for wine professionals and representatives of the wine trade sector. Georgian wine is also presented at international exhibitions, and wine tours to Georgia are organized for media representatives, sommeliers, and sales professionals, which helps to further introduce and promote Georgian wine in the U.S. market.
