The Union of Oil Products Importers reports that in January-September 2023, a total of 79,600 tons of petroleum bitumen were imported to Georgia that is 3.1% more than in the same period of 2022.

Russia is the largest supplier of oil products and accounts for 46.6% of the total imports - 37,100 tons. Followed by Iraq - 27,200 tons (34.2%), Turkey - 13,300 tons (16.7%), Azerbaijan - 1,700 tons (2.1%), Iran - 20,000 tons (0.3%), Turkmenistan – 10,000 tons (0.1%).


In the reporting period, liquefied gas imports to Georgia soared by 47.7% to 42,190 tons. Russia accounts for 99.7% of the total imports.
