Georgia’s electric vehicles imports continues to rise.
As Sakstat reports, in 9 months of 2023 a total of 1,336 electric vehicles worth $37.3 million were imported into the country.
In the same period in 2022, this figure stood at 913 units worth $20 million, in 2021 – 251 units worth $4.7 million.
52.1% of electric vehicles were imported from the USA ($15.4 million), 26% from China (11.1 million) and 6.8% - from Japan (629,200).
Germany is the fourth in the list with 87 units worth 6.7 million, followed by the United Arab Emirates with $1,428 million.
The average cost of electric vehicles imported into Georgia reaches $27-28,000.
