The European Commission will support the repair of Ukraine's energy infrastructure and strengthen protection before the next winter. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He discussed with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen a strategy to significantly strengthen Ukraine's resilience. It has agreed to help rebuild Ukraine's energy infrastructure after Russian shelling.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine and Europe will work together to ensure reliable energy supply, decentralized generation and restoration of damaged facilities.

"This is one of the most important results of our meetings yesterday, and its importance cannot be overestimated, especially given Russia's constant attempts to destroy normal life in Ukraine I am grateful to the European Union for this program," the President said.

During her visit to Kyiv, von der Leyen also said that Ukraine would receive by Easter priority weapons package from Europe.
