President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife will pay a state visit to Georgia today.
According to the press service of the Government Administration, within the framework of the state visit, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will meet with Mikheil Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
An official welcoming ceremony for the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be held at the Presidential Palace of Georgia, after which a face-to-face meeting is planned between Mikheil Kavelashvili and Ilham Aliyev. The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be hosted by the Prime Minister of Georgia at the Government Administration. Irakli Kobakhidze and Ilham Aliyev will meet both face-to-face and in an expanded format, after which the leaders will make joint statements to the media.
Within the framework of the state visit to Georgia, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will lay a wreath at the Heroes’ Memorial in Heroes’ Square and will also pay tribute to the memory of the national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will visit Georgia with a delegation, which will include the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, Assistant to the President for Foreign Policy Hikmet Hajiyev, Minister of Economy Mikhail Jabbarov, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, and Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiev.
