According to Brand Finance, the German automobile manufacturer Porsche has retained its position as the top brand in the luxury goods sector for the eighth year in a row.
Concurrently, the company's value dropped by 4.6% over the previous year to reach $41.1 billion.
The manufacturer of perfume Chanel secured second place (+45.4%, reaching $37.9 billion), while the renowned bag brand Louis Vuitton dropped to third (+2.1%, totaling $32.9 billion). Simultaneously, Chanel showed the highest value growth in the ranking. Hermes (+19.4% to $19.9 billion) stayed in fourth place.
Swiss watchmaker Rolex increased by 36% to reach $18.8 billion, rising from seventh to fifth place. Dior maintains its sixth position (+18% to $17.32 billion). Cartier (+15.4% to $15.7 bln) climbed to seventh place from eighth, while Ferrari (+36.3% to $14.4 bln) ascended to eighth place from ninth. The Italian fashion label Gucci (-23.6% to $11.4 billion) fell from fifth to ninth place.
