Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said the government will not allow any revolutionary attempt to succeed in the country.

Responding to questions from journalists about the rally announced for October 4 by Paata Burchuladze, Kobakhidze stressed that any violation of the law would be met with the full force of justice.

You can judge for yourself how this so-called revolution might turn out. In any case, we will be attentive, and I promise that anyone who violates the law will be held accountable with all the severity of the law,” he stated.

The head of government urged caution regarding violence and lawbreaking. “If someone resorts to violence — as you have seen, those who attacked police officers, the state system or the parliament building — they faced two to five years in prison. All violators will be prosecuted under the relevant articles of the law. I therefore call on everyone to be careful and attentive,” the Prime Minister said.

Kobakhidze also claimed that foreign special services are attempting to stir revolutionary processes in Georgia.

Their goal is to encourage destabilization. But just as all revolutionary attempts over the past 13 years have failed, so will those planned this year and in the years to come. We will not allow anyone to implement such plans in Georgia,” he added.
