In January-August this year, revenue from the export of Georgian wine declined by 15.8% compared to the same period of last year.

According to the National Statistics Office, 67,535 tons of Georgian wine worth $195.8 million were exported last year, in the first eight months of 2025 -56,219 tons worth $164.9 million.

It is worth mentioning that this year the export price of Georgian wine before taxes rose slightly - by 1.4%. For example, last year the average price per litre was $2.89, this year it stood at $2.93.

This year, Russia accounts for the main share of domestic wine exports. In particular, Russia’s share of Georgian wine exports was 62.6%.

In more detail, the top five export markets for Georgian wine in January-August 2025 looked as follows:

• Russia - 37,503 tons worth $103.3 million;


• Poland - 4,694 tons worth $11.5 million;


• Ukraine - 2,963 tons worth $8.22 million;


• China - 2,020 tons worth $6.49 million;


• Kazakhstan - 1,777 tons worth $5.85 million.
