The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, is participating in a UN conference in the city of Awaza, Turkmenistan.
According to the Government of Georgia, the leaders attending the conference are being hosted by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres.
“The Head of the Government of Georgia attended the official opening of the conference, where António Guterres and Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants.
Irakli Kobakhidze is scheduled to deliver a speech at the conference today. The Prime Minister will emphasize Georgia’s strategic location and the country’s role as a corridor connecting East and West, offering significant connectivity opportunities to eight landlocked countries.
Before the official opening of the UN conference, the National Leader of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the People's Council, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, addressed the summit participants.
The official event at the Awaza Congress Center was attended by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze along with the Georgian delegation,” the statement says.
