On February 3, Parliament’s spring session will open. The first plenary sitting of the spring session will begin with the national anthem.

At the very first sitting, Parliament will establish, by resolution, a temporary commission to study the price formation structure of food products, medicines, and fuel.

Amendments to the Laws “On General Education” and “On Higher Education,” prepared by the Ministry of Education and Science, have been submitted to Parliament for consideration under an accelerated procedure.

One of the main topics of discussion will be the legislative package of the “Georgian Dream” faction, which envisages the adoption of new restrictive laws related to party activities and political engagement.

Within the framework of the spring session, Parliament will hear a report by Mikheil Kavelashvili on issues concerning the state of the country, as well as a report by Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili on parliamentary activities.
