On "Commersant" radio, Avtandil Aroshidze, founder of The Article company and partner at Be OneDevelopment Goderdzi, says that Goderdzi Resort has become a year-round destination, and visitor numbers have doubled compared to the peak period last January.

According to Avtandil Aroshidze, Goderdzi resort is becoming one of the most interesting and attractive resorts, not just for skiing, but for snowboarding too. He says its popularity is mainly due to abundant snowfall and the longest winter season, lasting around 5-6 months.Its convenient proximity to Batumi also plays a key role.

«The road has been a primary concern for the resort, but significant progress has been made from Batumi. Just a small section is left. Previously, reaching Goderdzi could take 3.5 - 5 hours. This year, however, that travel time has been cut to just 2 hours. Even in bad weather, the drive from Batumi to Goderdzi now takes only 3 hours. The biggest challenge right now is the road from Tbilisi, as it's undergoing major construction. Once these road-related problems are resolved ,the number of visitors will rise by about 60% that will definitely boost investment too. Another thing I'd stress is promotion. The resort needs to be heavily advertised to our population that is crucial for bringing investors," Avtandil Aroshidze points out.
