The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, is participating in the European Political Union Summit, which is being held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

The leaders of about 40 states participating in the summit will be hosted by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

According to the government administration, the Prime Minister of Georgia emphasized the importance of the summit and noted that during the event, both during his speech and with European leaders, he will talk about the ongoing processes in Georgia and Georgia-EU relations.

"It is particularly interesting that this event is being held in Budapest, Hungary, shortly after the USA presidential elections. I will have a speech at the thematic panel, as well as at the closing plenary session, where messages related to our country and current events around our country will be heard. We will also have the opportunity to talk with European leaders about all the topics that are interesting in terms of Georgia-EU relations. Among them, we will talk about Georgia's foreign policy priority, which is integration into the European Union. We will talk about the current processes in Georgia and the relations between Georgia and the European Union", said Irakli Kobakhidze.

The main topic to be discussed at the fifth summit of the European political union is the challenges of European security. Within the framework of the summit, thematic discussions are planned. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will deliver a speech at the panel discussion, the main topic of which is economic security and connectivity, as well as at the final plenary session of the summit.

The Head of the Government of Georgia participates in the Summit of the European Political Union together with the delegation, which includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili and the Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
