In 9 months of 2024, the commercial banks operating in Georgia have earned more than 600 million GEL from buying and selling currency.

As per the fourth quarter of 2024, the income  received by the banks  from the exchange rate difference:

Bank of Georgia - 279 million GEL (243 mln GEL in 9 months of 2023).

TBC Bank - 256 million GEL ( 202 mln GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Basisbank — 11.7 million GEL (4.7 mln GEL in 9 months of 2023).

ProCredit Bank – 11.4 million GEL (10.1mln GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Pasha Bank - 9.5 million GEL (7 mln GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Cartu Bank — 7 mln GEL (loss of 4.3 million GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Terabank — 6.1 million GEL (3.4 million GEL in 9 months of 2023).

VTB Bank — 5.3 million GEL (loss of 28.9 million GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Halyk Bank — 5.2 million GEL (6.1 million GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Credo Bank — 4.9 million GEL (2.4 million GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Silk Bank — 1.7 million GEL (188 thousand GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Ziraat Bank — 1.1 GEL (1.3 million GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Liberty Bank – 1 million GEL (12.8 million GEL in 9 months of 2023).

Isbank - 1 million GEL (2.8 million GEL in 9 months of 2023)

Paysera - 292 thousand GEL (loss in 9 months of 2023 11 thousand GEL).

HashBank — 1 151 GEL.

Pave Georgia - loss of 333 thousand GEL.

In the third quarter of 2024, a total of 17 commercial banks operated on the market.
