For several days, the propaganda media has been “researching” whether Brussels is asking us to forcibly marry men to men, - the Chairman of the Parliament Shalva Papuashvili writes on social networks.

As he notes, “turning a serious issue into an unmotivated joke is a tried and tested propaganda tactic so that the main issue remains out of focus.”

For several days, the propaganda media has been “researching” whether Brussels is asking us to forcibly marry men to men and send a hundred selected boys every year. The goal of this so-called “research” is, in fact, to provide a daily ration of emotional shock to their propaganda-fed audience. Turning a serious issue into an unmotivated joke is a tried and tested propaganda tactic so that the main issue remains out of focus.

The main thing is that Brussels, for some reason (?), demanded the complete repeal of the law voted for by the Georgian people in the parliamentary elections declared as a referendum and supported by all traditional religions, including the Georgian Orthodox Church. The law, which, in the full sense of the word, both the nation and the clergy agree on and which, as a rule, has nothing to do with visa-free travel.

Traces of Brussels' flattering propaganda are also visible in the behavior of the media, which do not resort to the fastest way to "clarify" this issue, by asking the EU Ambassador simple questions. I am sure that the EU Ambassador, as in other times, will not hesitate and will answer their questions: should the ban on same-sex marriage and alternative legal unions be abolished? Should the ban on legal gender reassignment be abolished? Should the ban on indicating a gender other than one's biological sex in official documents be abolished? Should the ban on LGBT propaganda in kindergartens and schools be abolished? - writes Papuashvili.
