The commercial banks operating in Georgia have already submitted financial results for the first half of 2025 to the National Bank of Georgia. According to the report, 4 out of 19 banks ended this period with a loss.

VTB Bank saw the largest loss in 6 months whose activity is actually restricted due to international sanctions imposed in February 2022.

Silk Bank closed the period with a loss of GEL 11 million. Hash bank lost GEL 6 million. Paysera suffered a loss of GEL 0.6 million. The total profit of banks stood at GEL 1.55 billion that is GEL 91 million or 6% more than in the same period of last year.

In terms of profit, "Bank of Georgia" leads with 788 million GEL in January-June 2025 that is 67 million or 9% more compared to the same period of the previous year. "TBC Bank" is the second with 566 million GEL that is 28 million or 5% more annually. "Liberty Bank" occupies the third position with a profit of 61.7 million.
