"I do not think it is right to expand the capital indefinitely - we should not develop only Tbilisi and its suburbs," real estate expert Shota Gujabidze says and adds that municipalities should develop together with Tbilisi.
He believes that the relevant departments should develop a real estate policy that would regulate issues related to the constructions in the country.
"Only Tbilisi and its suburbs should not be developed. Lands outside Tbilisi should be subordinated to regional centers, municipalities should develop. The government, city hall services, city councils, etc. should determine what policy to pursue in real estate so that development is evenly everywhere , namely equally good districts, business centers, private settlements, residential areas should be evenly distributed not only in Tbilisi, but also in municipalities," Shota Gujabidze notes.
Gujabidze adds if the real estate concentrated in Tbilisi were evenly distributed throughout the country, its prices would become balanced and steadily growing, the situation in the city would become orderly, living conditions would improve.
