It will not be possible to attract large tourist groups in one month of planning direct flights, but according to my calculations, this year we’ll
see an increase in the number of European tourists while the largest and most noticeable effect will be observed in October-November, when Europeans start booking places for the 2026 season, - Director of HSC Group Hospitality Giorgi Dolidze says.
In his words, European tourists like to book in advance and have a clear schedule.
"Capacity increases from year to year, and along with it, we try to hike prices. So far we know that the main tourist inflow for Georgia is from the Persian Gulf countries and Israel as well as from China and India. Travel companies of these countries and tourists are accustomed to low prices. In other words, when opening a new market a low price is one of the determining factors to attract it. Then it is very difficult to increase low price from year to year, so great opportunities have opened up for Europe. There are many direct flights from many companies, which makes you bolder, go and talk to travel companies in any country and tell them that you have created a tour package with a direct flight, without any discomfort, Georgia has become a country at an affordable price - Europeans do not bargain about prices as much as tourists from other countries. The number of European tourists in Georgia is growing," Giorgi Dolidze stresses.
