The National Bank of Georgia (NBG) reports that in June 2023, official international reserves increased by 29.2% year-on-year and stood at $5.1 billion. Compared to last month, reserves increased by 1.3% (+$ 65.3 million).

The change in reserves volume was caused by the government intervention in the foreign exchange market  and currency operations in the banking sector, as well as the NBG’s currency intervention.
